Pensacola, Florida, has (to me), the best beaches in the state. Well, I grew up there. Before the big storm, Pensacola had shore lines of rolling sand dunes that covered much of its coast. Lately, Florida has suffered a series of heavy hitting hurricanes and Pensacola was there to host a few. This painting was researched during the early 1980's. I last saw this area in 2005, the sand dunes were gone and the beaches were flat.
